S1000RR presence at BMW of Manhattan "Summer Jam Event"
 

It appears that there is an opportunity to see the S1000RR in person in NYC on June 27th.

um...just about every bmw dealer in the country is having an open house and is featuring the s1000rr.
if you've signed up with a local dealer, you probably received an email in the past few days...or will soon.

the open house is often a three day thing, including demo rides.
so far, no demos on the s1000rr...just a look and drool.
the dealers are passing around the s1000rr's that are in-country for their promotional events, but they're basically non-running show queens.

The one Nate Kern has is a runner. Although I couldn't make it out there, Nate was going to have one for show and tell at a track day at Summit Point Raceway last Thursday. Later he was to have it at a Bike Nite for more show and tell.

snuggling up to nate might be the only way to get a ride on one.
or, if you're lucky, the last dealer in the open house/pass around line might be the one to keep the bike and might, just might, offer demo rides on it.
we didn't see much of that going on with the hp2s. you had to buy it to try it.
