Valve Stem Question
The valve stem core (not around the hole) is leaking on my front tire. The BMW parts manual shows the stem to be 15mm in diameter, which is .591 inches. The standard auto valve stem is .453 inches. Anyone know if you can get these at Auto Zone or maybe a Jap bike dealership, or do they have to be ordered? Any help mucho appreciated.

I have used standard valves with no problems. My R1100S has some I picked up that are sold for ATV rims.

you can find some cool 90 degree stems if you look around, they are great for the front wheel especially where the rotors take up so much space.

Thanks, guys. I found some 15mm valve stems at Big O Tires in Sherman, which are .591 diameter. They also had standard .453 stems that also fit Harleys. I know the shop manager, a Harley rider, and he gave me a couple of brand new ones. Am gonna order a 90 degree chrome one for the front and a straight chrome one for the rear tire to have installed a little later on. About $30 from DE Motorsports in Germany.
