Replaceing Brake Master Cylinder Cover
My MC cover has a slight scratch that I hate. So I got me a new one to replace.
It seems I will not be able replace the cover with the bike on its side stand because brake fluid will pour out. My question is if I stand the bike vertically on the center stand can I swap the cover or am I doomed to replace all the fluid once the MC is open?

if you turn the bars to the right, you can open without spilling even on the side stand. Anyway be careful, use towels and journal, and remove the side fairing panel, as brake fluid eats paint. No need to change it because it has been open. Do it on a dry day, icing low temp should be perfect. Brake fluid should be chaged yearly anyway, so might be a good occasion to do it though.
