Yes, "9"- fully deserved... with yet another out of this world performance by Stoner!

And what great races yesterday on Speed! I'd have to say -- and no spoiler here -- that the MotoGP race was the least interesting of the four that were broadcast: WSB 1 and 2, and MotoGP 250. If you haven't seen the others, watch 'em!

Congrats to the Doctor. I was puzzled at first watching him drop back into the pack like that but realized he simply needed to finish in front of lorenzo who had been relegated to the back of the grid. No sense pushing it in the wet and dang did it ever rain!
And yes the 250s delivered yet another great race! I lost count of the lead changes in the corners.

Yep, that 250 race was a barn-burner. I thought Sinmoncelli's antics were a little out of line (literally) though. He's really starting to rub me the wrong way.

Yup, only good part of the MotoGP race was Hayden dicing with Elias and Caprisossi, and making Jorge work to get around him. The other races were great. 250 had incredible lead change sequences.

okay, so the shot of the egg was posted, but nobody posts a picture of the live chicken dressed in race gear that greeted him right after the race??
jeez, what kind of motoGP fans are out there? was it his last title when fans dressed as 8 bowling pins and he knocked them down with a ball? something like that...? i agree about the 250 class: that wasn't a race, it was an arm wrestle contest.

from Valentino Rossi chicken and egg | Ultimate MotorCycling | Motorcycle News | Best Reviews
As with many of Valentino Rossi's post-victory celebrations, this year's 2009 MotoGP Championship winning chicken and egg stunt in Sepang has some deeper more humorous meaning. Valentino Rossi conducted his chicken and egg act after his final 2009 race victory as he pulled his Yamaha M1 off the Sepang track to meet his awaiting fan club and fan club president. The fan club president presented Rossi with a tee shirt to wear, a live chicken wearing what appeared to be a motorcycle helmet and an egg stamped with the number 9. Rossi first removed his nose guard, racing helmet, and soaking wet gloves as all the other riders rode past and headed for the pits. Valentino quickly put on the tee shirt over his racing leathers, grabbed hold of the egg and began posing for pictures with the chicken. So what's the meaning of this celebration? Well according to Valentino Rossi, in Italy it is said that an old chicken (hen) makes good soup but that an old chicken (hen) can no longer lay eggs. Obviously, Valentino Rossi's main competitors are much younger than him (Jorge Lorenzo 22 and Casey Stoner 24) at the ripe old age of 30. Valentino Rossi said, "I am like the old chicken (hen) - 30 years now - but I have made another egg!" He went on to say "That's nine (eggs)!" For those who have been following Rossi for the past 13 years, this is his clever way of poking fun back at his rivals.

It might not be that expensive. With the new technology of wraps and lower costs of high quality inkjet printers, I imagine someone could take a clear label / wrap material, print your picture on it, then hand apply the finished label to the helmet.
Of course a hand painted job would look a lot better, but would be vewy, vewy pwicey... |

What do you think Dottore is doing when he squats next to the bike? Praying? Imagining winning? Picking which grid girl to shag?
