Whether you want it or not, I'm sure that 16 mph PAS limit comes in handy on every hill.
My ebikes are currently designated for city commute while carrying bulky loads. Much easier with e-assist when commute involve lots of traffic lights & carrying bulky/heavy items, and trying to avoid arriving at work full of sweat. With ebikes, I don't need to look for parking, travel through parks, one-way streets & sidewalks if need to. Folding ebike allow me to take the bike onto mass transit, subway, etc..

It’s all about smoothing down the uphills, you are right. Sounds like are in utility mode with your gear, which is awesome.

32 miles yesterday, 18 miles today, I'm burning off the Thanksgiving excess eating.
Avoiding the popular paved trails in COVID times, mostly pedaled on hardpack, gravel & mixed surfaces. Temperature in the mid-low 50's, low wind; I can get used to this global warming if it stays like this all winter. ![]() ![]()

![]() My SUV ebike. Rize RX....1kw Bafang Ultra (1.5kw max), 48v 19.2ah Battery. Had it a few weeks and despite the up and down weather, managed to add 400 miles on a mix of long rides, commuting, and shopping. What a great way to get places and not use a car. I can ride it to work, using the lowest assist level, get a nice workout and not arrive a puddle of sweat. In the past I was a fair weather rider, and now I'm looking for any reason to get out and ride - weather and temperature be damned. It's definitely a bridge between motorcycles and bicycles.....

Received an update on my Chinese Cargo bike order.
Cargo e-bike has been built, packed up & picked up by ground transport to be carried to sea port for sea transport to US. Estimate 25-50 days to delivery at my location. Not sure if legit, or just trying to make me feel better, Chinese contact sent a picture of the bike on factory floor: I see changes to kickstand to centerstand on frame, seat & grips color difference & frame gusset just under the headtube looks different. ![]()

Not to high jack, but ..."A", do have an interest in old bikes? I see.you're in Philly and I have an old Team Chiorda that is taking up space. Let me know if you're interested.

Never a truer word.....didn’t take very long to connect with mine, and while this Covid pandemic is raging a life saver for keeping me/us sane while other options are on hold.
