We certainly took different pictures, here are mine!

First off my dream bike, NOT! I am glad I got to sit on this, because I have put this out of the equation in one swoop. This is a tight bike

It has been mentioned here many times that the HP2S really has to be seen to be appreciated. I had never seen or sat on one before, it is MAJOR love at first sight! What a fantastic machine!! it is now officially on my short list, i just need to put the CF wheels, Wossner pistons, custom exhaust, and powder coat the frame and it will be perfect!!

of course what trip to the bike show would be complete without the racers actual machines, so for your pleasure the hero machines

it was an OK show, but there were conspicuous absences, KTM for one, Aprilia, a few others. Good time!

I suppose I should have mentioned Ducati since they had such a big section. They had this bike there that makes even the Desmo-seduce-me look plain, Sweet!


of course the Multistrada was on a pedestal (really!) it is very cool looking, and quite different a feel than the oxen-like GS. I doubt its really up for the Long Way Round, but it would look great outside the diner or for a trip to the 6-pack store

I should also mention that the HP2S had a spec sheet with it that said 2010 HP2S with an MSRP of $25,500 plus $1000 for ABS. Makes the one I passed up at $17,500 look like a steal!

Seems like it is exactly the same show that we got here in Long Beach the other week.

The HP2 is really sweet, and if the brought the racing colored Limited Edition one over I was all set to buy one, but I was lucky enough to meet someone at the Long Beach show with significant saddle time on both R1200S and the HP2, and thats how I come to have an R1200S, I bought the one he said is the most enjoyable to ride.

I was trying to keep my pictures at least "PG". There seems to be a problem with my camera angle/lens.

We have a lot of the same taste in bikes. I just didn't want to post the same bikes that everyone is talking about here on the forum and in the media.

IMHO, I found a lot of the bikes that I liked were from the small shops that dot our country side. Often when I looked at them I felt they were ascetically pleasing to look at. I do appreciate the thought, and craftsmanship that goes into a motorcycle especially when made from scratch.

Actually I don't know anything about Twisted Sister. Although I know a lot about rock.

Think I saw the guy on some biker show once on satellite. Then I saw his patch with his name so it took the challenge out of the guessing game...

There is an HP2S on E-bay from BMW Daytona at $17,999 at the moment.

One of the local dealers has a BMW Canada HP2S "B" race bike with full Akra, new tires, all the street goodies put back on and warranty until 2012. No crashes and under 1000Km.
The bike looks pretty good........but??????? It is still an ex race bike. Dealer wants $18,500Cdn??????
I am going to go try it this week.
