MotoGP Catalunya: SPOILER
Yamaha must be thrilled to see their two factory bikes as bookends at Catalunya. First and LAST after FP1. Spies is getting more out of his B grade bike than Nicky. Yep. that rookie rule really makes sense.

Spies popped up to 5th at the end, Hayden is really struggling in 12th behind both Suzuki's and Lorenzo's fastest lap was his next to last!

What the hell are they feeding DePuniet lately?
The rest look about what we've come to expect this season, except for Nicky obviously having his first bad weekend of the year.

DePuniet has the same problem as Spies. Getting "A" bike performance out of a "B" bike. He has looked very well of late. I'd like to see Nicky move to a different factory team if Ducati can't give him a bike with top end speed down the straights. That and drive out of the turns has held him back IMO.

+1 Bubba, I'm tired of seeing Nicky get run down by those Hondas. Stunning how muc faster they can be.

Deja Vu Assen all over again. Spies flogging the "B" bike for 6th and Nicky an also ran on a can't get it together "A" bike. The Suzuki bikes looked a lot better today. Don't even take to me about that dumb a$% rookie rule that keeps an "A" team rider on a "B" bike and brings in a "has been" to exercise the bike and burn fuel and tyres. At this level you don't need a "pansy a$%" rule to handicap the field.
Tres Americanos Gringos should pull the plug on this farce and go back to WSBK Last edited by Guest24; 07-04-2010 at 06:01 AM.. |

Watched the race this morning. Lorenzo ran away but ol Dovisiososoowososo kept him in sight until he lost the front! Too bad. Hayden apparently stuck with a tired engine due to the world economy saving (& MotoGP killing) engine rule. I wish they'd show the mid pack battles, that's where all the interesting stuff is after about 5 laps.
Stoner tried the short cut but couldn't make it work for him... Looking forward to the MOto 2 race later today.... much more interesting stuff there. Happy 4th to the board.... |

Yup, Moto2 pits riders against each other rather than the factories inMotoGP.
