Interesting. I see both upper end Öhlins, and basic Sachs alike.
Hopefully Albacete (sp?) will be a glitch-free, better indication of what they can do. Just got a deal between one of my riders and the local shop hammered out and bike on order this morning, so we can start getting one ready for the series here. Öhlins shocks, and both the cart-inserts and full forks have been backordered for months now. We'll probably have to run modified stock stuff first. Hate too, with poor Sachs parts availability here, but we'll see what we can do. Traxxion and Penske not quite ready yet either. Grrrrr. Going to have to add a second datalogger too. Will be fun for sure.

Cool, thanks for posting.
What's up with the front fender being trimmed, I guess every gram that can be removed gets trimmed.

Easier to get the front wheel off in endurance racing where short pit stops are paramount.

Exactly. Leading edge higher on the bikes fitted with quickchange setups.
They didn't bother on the pictured bikes w/o quick setups (which is weird to see, on a big-time endurance effort)

The Ohlins shod bike is the so called factory superbike the others are Stocksport, having seen the two years when the factory turned up with the twins and made a grandstand effort, while most of the time this year i only viewed from the other side of the track, the team and crew looked pretty shambolic, but baring in mind the posting i put up the other week about a change of who was running the squad understandable i guess, just a shame because with an engine that is/was clearly faster than most,a lost opportunity.

Yes, too new of an effort to draw any conclusions from. I'm watching, but am more focused here how to get the local bike suspended, given the lack of good (actually available now, versus backordered) options. I imagine the scenario is better in Europe, as they got the Öhlins parts sooner, and I would bet, have more Sachs internal bits available. I really need to find a source here.

Roger, I am certain you have already thought about this, but have you talked to Racetech here in CA, they have done pretty great work on a lot of bikes I know.

Thanks for the input, and yes. I just sent Eric, Louis, and Lenny (plus my sales guy, Brad) a note on that very subject this morning. Lenny out there, and me here in the field, are currently working on sorting out their 2nd-gen BPF valve (such as on 09 ZX6Rs and GSXR1000s) and have a young expert podiuming pretty regularly with a prototype valve, and their own shock (full in house shock, not just a valve) We're literally one of only 2 places doing the dev work on it. (6 3rds, and one win, last weekend) I've just queried them on Sachs bits in general, plus valve and cartridge options, as well as their whole shock. Would love to work with them, as their new shocks have been very very good so far.
Anyway, in short, that is exactly where we're leaning right now. I'm trying to buy some more used Sach's stuff, so if we have any failures, we're not completely done. And as a further backup plan, maybe Penske stuff.
