Manual? Haynes or Clymer or?

Can't remember which one is krahp. I do remember that either Clymer or Haynes isn't worth using to start a campfire...just don't remember which one.
I found a download of the factory manual but it is poorly laid out and severely lacking in how-tos and photos etc.
BTW 2004 R1100S twinspark
Thanks folks....
Kevin

I've got a PDF version of the BMW Repair Manual for the S bike, and some other files I've found here and other places. If you want to download them, send me and email: jerry.duke@gmail.com

The OEM repair manual is not bad - I'm talking about the R12 series, witch is rather an RDBMS type of "application" (cool gray 3d models as well) but nothing beats a Clymer manual.

Problem is that (AFAIK) there's no Clymer manual for R11 series. Next best solution: Haynes.

I have an OEM manual for the R1100S and the separate wiring schematic booklet (in German) which I found very good but as has been said, weak on How To (I assume, because the guys using it also having been to formal schooling on repair of the R1100S).

After decoding/deciphering the electrical manual, I successfully removed about 2kg of wiring and relays. The OEM repair manual also listed torque values for everything attached with bolts.

My question is, how good are wiring schematics in the Clymer and does it have torque specs? Will I need both OEM, OEM electrical addendum and Clymer to dig deep into the recesses of the R1200S?

I dont think clymer makes an R1200s manual - only R1100-1150

Haynes does the manual for the R12S and available schematics are rather good. I don't like the fact that includes all R12 series bikes, but finding a manual solely for the R12S could be rather impossible I guess.
