Cylinder Head removal

So i completely fudged up my valve cover screws beyond repair

Ordered a new head and new bolts from the bone yard

Looking at the service manual I'm not sure on how hard is to remove the old head install the springs and have everything in running order without breaking even more the bike (maybe is a side effect of being pissed for not having the bike)

I did a forum search to see some actual pictures/description but no success

Any words of widsom or documents to read

TIA

not to be a dick or anything, but if the valve cover screws were outside your competency, find somebody else to swap the head and valve train.

are helicoils out of the question? you ought to be able to do that without removing much more than the covers themselves.

Here are a few threads regarding the use of thread-serts... It is a steel insert threaded inside and out to repair your head. Not uncommon... Much easier to repair than replacing the head.
