How bout the top 10 fastest bikes... to lose the most value? or break down the fastest? Or be slowest off the line? Or top 10 heaviest bikes? Who care's which bike accelerates the fastest... we're not drag racing nor at Bonneville. :D

damn I just caught myself going immediately OT - I do so humbly apologize. I gotta see someone about it.

That's a weird list.
Dodge Tomahawk? I'd like to see someone try to hit 350 mph on that thing. I don't think it's been ridden faster than 35 mph...............:D

The list makes no sense, plus many data, from power and max. speed to model designation, is completely wrong.

Er...I know the (common) answer, but for reasons of political correctness, better be silent...

He He

Where's the S1000RR? It's faster than most of the bikes on the list.

OwenM 08-09-2010 04:48 AM

Thinking riders don't rate a bikes desirability by power or top speed.

Their #1 choice speaks volumes about their thinking ability.;) This report is prior to the S1000RR being a production bike anyhow.

I had a good look at the S1000RR on more than one occasion and rejected it as a high power engine bolted into a cheap bike, not my idea of desirable. Maybe I think to much. :D

As Maverick said it "Top Gun", you don't have time to think up there, If you think, you die.:D

bradzdotcom 08-09-2010 05:51 AM

if you haven't clicked on the link yet....don't bother. it's just specs they found in brochures and magazine articles.

it's hard to even get past the first paragraph.
i still don't know what this is supposed to mean, and i'm not going to Pakistan to ask them:
"If you’re about own anyone please do let us know how it feels to ride them."

RIQUE 08-09-2010 06:19 AM

I agree with bubba on the 1000RR its a very fast bike that should be listed. However, please note I did not make the list. Just saw it and wanted to share.

Indeed it could be more desirable (better shocks and rotors couldn't be a bad thing), but price is dictated by the Holly Jap Quad (Blade, Kwak and the likes).

Anyway you should try one (with DTC). A bit surreal and lethal...but I'm still in one piece (good karma maybe, he he).

Ultimately of course a 1198S is a far better passion maker regardless of ponies, gizmos and dyno graphs.
