Trans Labrador-Newfoundland-Nova Scotia Ride Report
I'm leaving tomorrow for a two weeks loop that includes The Trans Labrador Highway, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
I'm departing from work in Manhattan and heading north to Vermont. I'll meet three guys from advrider.com at the border and I'll be riding with them the first week. After that I'll meet my wife in Sidney, Nova Scotia and we'll ride two up around NS. She is flying up there. The first part of the trip includes many many miles of dirt and I don't want to do it two up. I'm not carrying a computer so this ride report is going to have crappy iPhone pictures and short description. I took this is a map from somebody else and modified. The itinerary will be something like this.

Very jealous as I sit at my desk wanting, no needing, a day for a ride!
Safe riding to you and all that are with you.

Good Luck Martin, have a blast and be safe, if both can be done at once!

Merriam-Webster says
that "envy" is the
"painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage." With that in mind, I don't envy you this or anything else. However, it sure sounds like a great trip and I wish on you traveling mercies and look forward to a fine trip report. ![]()

Welcome to Canada! You will ride trough Quebec City on your way to Labrador. If you need anything, let me know. (Sent you a PM with my phone #)
I rode parts of the Trans Labrador highway when it was under construction in the mid 80's. I actually lived in Fermont at the time, 20 miles out of Labrador City. You will ride trough both towns. I had a Yamaha XT550 at the time, and we would rig our bikes with extra fuel tanks to ride that road. We once fueled straight from a Irving truck that we flagged down. Good luck, weather forecasts are looking good for Quebec but you will catch some rain in Labrador. It's better than snow however, we once had a good dump up there on a August 28. Have a safe trip! shreddr: No advrider report. I post there frequently but Pelican is my motorcycle forum.
X-Triple: I don't need a radar detector because I never go over the posted speed. . I know about the radars in Canada. I'm leaving mine at home.Guyf: Many thanks for your offer! I'll add your phone in my contacts.

Martin is a great guy, especially when compared to the rest of the NE crew.
