Cheating . . .

OK, so the granddaughter picture was cheating. I didn't think her daddy would have the same appeal, even with a GS in the background.

No major problems- only stupid ones, like loose battery cable, misrouted O2 sensor wire, blown fuel pump relay. Lately (133k) I've had some temperamental turn signal buttons (the contacts are delicate) my clock is long gone. Mostly routine fluid changes.

Probably 70/30% adventure (2-up)/ commuting.

Leaning towards adding a R12ST or GS for my 2-up stuff. Just can't get her on her own bike. Packing a tent, sleeping pads (2), sleeping bags (2) clothes, food, tools and such is a real pain.

I stupid me.. I thought they where miles not Klicks. DUH.....

Still alot..

A proper color for such a bike. Very nice.

A pic of my "old" R1100S (sold in '08) and R1200S (bought in '08). The 12S picture was taken on my ride home from San Diego to San Francisco (area). Sorry the camera was mis-set.

  • You can post only one picture of each bike you have owned. Not a bike you looked at, or simply found on the internet because it was cool. YOU must have owned it.
  • You can always post a better picture, but then you must DELETE the older picture and posting. No one can have two or more of their same bike at the same time.
  • Every rule violator must buy every board member he/she meets a beer of their choice, every time they ask for one, regardless of cost.
This is the spot to show off your one best shot of your motorcycle(s), and hopefully the thread will stay compact enough (if people edit properly by DELETING) that people do not have to weed through tons of pictures and blather to enjoy it. This is not intended to replace the "Show Your Scoot" thread, but just a "best of the best" thread.

You can/should post a little explanation as to why you like it and why it's your favorite. Memories, landscape, whatever.

Good luck! (See if this goes anywhere...)

This was always my favorite. I don't think I could take it these days, not only because the bike is gone, but the road is just too busy with tourists to park oddly. Amazing how towns transform in 10 years.
pretty remarkable that so many peeps are thoroughly incapable of following a simple set of directions........ but there should be plentiful free brews at next year's TOR.

I'm thinking I should come. The cost of the flight should be compensated by the free drinks by now.

Appologies in advance for posting this one again, but it is a good photo that depicts the R1100S as something other than static art

A little dirty from a few days of riding in heavy rain, but when you are in the Victorian Alps, who cares. Mount Hotham.

Doubt there will be. These people don't buy beer. Can't follow the rule here, they will laugh it off there.

I think about this when I'm watching clouds roll by, but can't come up with a reason. My mind flashes back to insane asylum movies, or other wierd inconsequential ideas.
