Thumbs up New Stable Mate?

Sup Fellas? I am thinking of buying a Motoguzzi Griso 2007 with 33k on the clock for under 4 grand to be the first stable mate next to my beautiful and one of a kind r1100s. Any critisism on the Griso purchase would be nice. I really like the similarities of the drivetrain between the two and I think it's the best looking sport/muscle/cafe european bike out there, and the price is cheap. What do you'all think.

Peace

D.A.

For once a topic I actally know something about as I owned an 07 Greaseball, I mean Griso, before my 12S. I loved that bike and miss it dearly. I found it more enjoyable to ride around town than the 12 as it's geared lower. Everyone will tell you that you'll have issues due to the lack of dealers, but don't worry as there's great support on the web plus they're stone simple to work on. Hit me with any specific questions.

Do it! I've been a Guzzi fan forever. Worked in a shop in Daytona where we raced a 1000 LeMans, had an auto for a gofer bike and a friend owned a V7 LeMans with the quad shoe front brake(probably one reason discs became so popular). All of them were extremely reliable & way fun to ride. Character everywhere. The only downside was a low level finish that aged quickly.

I test rode the Griso last year at our local Guzzi dealer. I really liked the styling. I felt the bars were a little wide, but that could improve with familiarity.

The ride was pretty short, and I'm no motorcycle journalist, so the most I can say is that for an urban style roadster- the guzzi is at the top of my list, maybe only bested by the r12r.

I do believe that the dealer network is poor, and I listened to the owner of a BMW dealership in NC rant for 10 minutes about Piaggio's issues and why he dropped them. The only thing the local dealer here in St. Louis could tell me was that valve adjustments were easy (he obviously wasn't paying attention to my r11s).

Still- I think the griso is a sweet bike.

i just reread your post. For under 4K- yes. I'd buy that bike all day long.
