11S Remus Cans

I just dropped the CAT from my 04 11S. I have a pair of Remus cans like here R1100S Remus race exhaust Stainless . I expected it to be louder and wanted more growl but man is it loud. Too loud! I have had drivers complain and I don't really want that kind of attention from the law. Not sure if this would help and everything I can see and have read is that these are lifetime/non-serviceable parts.

Is there a way, has any one repacked the Remus cans?

Oh and of course it is loudest right where I like to cruse at ~4k.
