Final Drive Pivot Torx Size
I am up to the stage of removing Final Drive & Swing Arm on my 2001 R1100S.
I have removed the large nut from the inner pivot of the final drive & the left hand swing arm pivot, and both pivots now need to be withdrawn with a large torx key. The largest torx socket I have is a T60, which just seems slightly too small. Does anybody know if it is a T60 or should I buy a T65 socket? Also will a paint stripper type heat gun loosen the threadlock on these pivots.? Thanks |

Good luck with a Torx Key. It should take a 12mm allen key or better yet a 12 mm allen 1/2 drive allen socket with a braker bar Paint stripper heat gun will probably work. So would a hair dryer just would take longer to heat. tjs
