I do not think you can alter the main heading of the ad, that would be the way to go

Easiest method is for a moderator to delete all threads after 30 days. The seller could renew the thread if the item is not sold.

Etiquette on the adv fleamarket seems to be adding a big "sold" to the top of the original post.(not the title, u cant edit that there either)

Personally I like the 30 day expired deleted idea. The thoughtful folks are are most likely doing the other things already. Hope something happens.

I do not like the "delete all threads after 30 days" idea at all. Short sighted IMO.

Internet savvy buyers & sellers on this and other boards like being able to research historical prices, availability, etc. To be able to form an opinion on the seller, the fairness of the price, the condition and/or rarety of the item.

Not sure why this is a big deal (not that it is).

And, like all databases, putting correctly spelled and descriptive "key" words within the title and text makes for easy searching when needed.
