OT/Does Anyone use this Hex Tool

Saw this at the Motorcycle Super Store website. Does anyone use this? Also, they are selling PR 2CT's for cheap for you summer touring buffs.

i would use it if i had one, but i made a wrench for the front axle instead. i guess that is good for the onbike toolkit

cageyar 02-21-2011 06:47 AM

I have that tool - it works great.

That's what I was thinking, Jeff. Looks pretty versatile, Ken. Got it on order with a PR 2CT for the R11S. Already had a front in the storage rack.

Bubba you could have ordered that tire from your good old boys in Georgia, for the same $$$

If you found the exact tire cheaper elsewhere, have MSS price-match it.
I've done it before with their low price guarantee.

Personally I would just rather order it from the Mom and Pop place. I like to support the little guy when ever I can. And their shipping is lightning fast too.

I think he already placed the order - the only thing I like about MSS vs. independents is that they turn their inventory quicker on current, non-leftover tires. I've gotten some amazingly fresh rubber from them, not that it's a big deal.
Plus, their shipping and process is stone reliable - I haven't always received that from independents.

Good tool

Ditto what Ken says. For my own use, it's no big deal, but if I need a bit for a customer that none of my distys carry, then MSS I can count on, so they get the nod

I guess using the Superstore is just out of habit. Richard, I'd have to pay sales tax with TB unless i had them ship it to Das Bikehaus.

Got one from Cycle Gear awhile back. Easier than finding a socket with the right size hex on the end for your axle(cheap way out).

The reverse side of a Craftsman spark plug socket works perfectly also. For those on a budget.

jaytee 02-21-2011 09:17 AM

Yes, I have one and use it both on my bmw's and yamaha's. It works perfectly every time.

Give the small guys a try, PR2's I got from them last year arrived a day and a half after I placed the order, and as I remember they were less than 5 mo old, even though it was last April, and I am sure turnover was slow through the winter.

I don't believe they warehouse a lot of tires, rather they drop ship direct from the big warehouse, If I remember correctly mine came from Tucker -Rocky in PA. Probably why they can sell so cheap, as the cost of multiple shipping is eliminated.

They are getting LOTS of accolades for service and price, around the inter web, and if you want to call, rather then mess with online, one of the owners will answer the phone.

Just have them ship them to me, I will break them in for you, before I drop them off:D
