DP Brake Pad fitment
I could use some assistance. I ordered a set of DP brake pads for a 03 R1100S (non ABS). Are the pads different for ABS and Non-ABS? I researched the DP website and it called for DP639. It did not provide any other options. When I removed the old pads (OE) I noticed the DP pads were a little longer and not quite as tall. Then I realized the pin will not fit through the hole at the top of the DP pads. Did I order the wrong pads?

Disregard this message, I figured out I have the wrong pads. Does anyone need the DP 639? I cannot return them.

You can return them. Their fitment book is wrong, it is their fault that you didn't got what you needed.
Even worse, I had them on the phone 4 month ago, to let them know that the book is wrong, they still edited the same mistake in this year's book. Cross ref the 639, you'll see that it is the only ever time were it matches this EBC reference, and that for every other bike, it matches the 641. Last edited by Meeni; 03-27-2011 at 05:56 PM.. |
