OT: No fly list info...

Have done many interviews the last few months with every news channel on earth. Just had a live radio interview with wgn radion in chicago about 2 hours ago...here is the article that was printed regarding my situation earlier today (can be found in many different papers/online articles)...

I don't want to appear to be a Fox-aphile but if you send that article to the Bill O'Reilly show, I'd bet he'd have you on and try to intervene.
The publicity alone may solve the issue.
I'd wish they put me on a no-fly list-I hate flying anymore.

Last saturday I was in the local stadium.......as you all know I'm from the north now living for nearly 25 years as a legal alien in bavaria. For the locals it makes no difference if I am a german from the north or a dutch, a danish or swedish or icelandic. That's all the same for them.
My hometown soccer club comes once a year to the city of nuremberg where I live to play the BUNDESLIGA match and as soccer is the most important thing in the life of a serious german, last saturday was a high feast day, right after christmas. My team won by 3:1 and after that I had to make my way back to my car, clothed in the original colours of my team past all of the "enemy" crowd.

Well, the region around Nuremberg has the biggest density of breweries of the entire planet and a lot of local guys had too much of their stuff plus they felt pissed off because their team lost the match.

Dear cage, I like the thoughts of winning a lawsuit, but all I can tell out of experience: In some situations VIOLENCE is the best way to solve problems. Because the strong arm of the law (PO-LICE) is never there when you need them.
Now I like all 187 cm of height and each single of my 108 kilos a little bit more.
And for a moment, I felt young and stupid again.
It was a good feeling.

Back to topic: I wish all the best for you Abe, crossing thumbs that your nightmare will end up soon.

I know this from my experience in Bavaria. You are indeed a foreigner to them.

I lived in Schönau Bavaria for 3.5 years in the mid 1990s when I worked on the US Army Post in Bad Aibling, near Rosenheim. My landlord's family were dairy farmers, who also owned some rental property. I lived in a 6 flat building owned by one of the 3 daughters, the old man ran the farm and spoke no English. He didn't speak German either, he spoke Byrish (sp). The daughters all spoke English, and all of them were very friendly small town people.

One neighbor in the building was a couple from Kölon, they moved to Bavaria because they wanted to live in the country and have horses. He had to move back to the north after one year because his wife was a school teacher, and she could not get a Job in Bavaria for political reasons. Anyone who knows about state jobs in Germany knows this is odd, not to get a job somewhere.

According to my landlord, you northern folks are Prussian.

The Bier is so good in that part of the world, but a football game is no place to make friends if you are wearing the wrong colors.

Bad Aibling. That's real Bavaria and that's worse. Even if you worked in that echelon post over there.
They are 90% roman catholics there, perhaps 9% are muslim immigrants from turkey and arab countries, 0.5% are protestants from north germany who moved there and the rest are just cows and ducks. (% figures just guessed)
And your former landlord (as he did not speak english) surely did say : S-A-U-P-R-E-I-S-S-N.

Nuremberg (former capital of germany in the middle ages) has a majority of protestants since the 17th century so it's not that bad.
Until my soccer team comes to visit and wins. I certainly wore the right colors, most of the others didn't

BTT: Abe's problem is the result of fear. And bad people, who use the fear of some individuals to devide the people.

And as we all know since the roman empire: "divide et impera"

You can rule the people and use them much better, if you plant a feeling of fear into their brains in order to divide them from one another.
That's no government by the people for the people, but's that's one of the things they just do.

BMWrider....I hate you are going through this. I remember when you had this incident a year ago....have you flown since then....and have you had the same problem? You should not have to go through this though. But we don`t live in a perfect world and a lot of people want us to die.....so we are not going to be as free as we used to.

I got pulled from a line on a international flight...in the customs line, they pulled me out like a drug dealer.....they wanted to check my bag. I told them I have no problem....but why am I the only one.....he said you are carrying a zero-haliburton case and we have found a large % of folks carrying that bag like to bring things in the US that they should not....I said ok.
