Best Looking R1200S Exhaust I've Seen
That's the best looking exhaust system I've seen on a 12S, Col. It looks like it belongs there. Aussie Pelican is selling his beemer; but, I couldn't let this exhaust go unnoticed. To me it makes the Akra and Remus look like backyard fabrications. Not talking performance per se. Talking looks.

From your pictures, I agree. Looks like it belongs on the S.

Without baffles, it's at least twice as loud as the Akrapovic. The sound of shred's bike is like the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse riding across the sky. I dig it. I guarantee you, you'd be whining, "it's too loud". To describe an Akra system as a "backyard fabrication" is stunningly off base. The construction, welds and general fit and finish are noticeably superior to the HPE. Akra's welds, hydro-formed tubing, are all state of the art in exhaust design. The Akra carbon end cap vs. the HPE carbon valence is a perfect example. One fits perfectly and is an integral part of the system, one is a garnish that shred had to modify to fit correctly. For the HPE, overall appearance is clean and sound is LOUD. The Akra construction/fit/finish is first rate, the mid-range power boost the best, and, to each his own, I like the integrated look of the muffler. Backyard fabrication? Simply ridiculous............ |
You should post in a few more threads to further dilute the board's substance.

he has done that 9691 times already, Craig...

Ken, I figured you'd take offense. Nothing new there. |

I'm not offended. I perplexed at the thought process that produces such drivel. Akrapovic is a standout in the field, expanding into other products as their market share increases. There's no way you can defend describing a state of the art exhaust system as a "backyard fabrication". It's just idiotic. |
My point is that you post the EXACT same thing you've already posted in a different thread back here into this thread. Do you feel no one heard you? Do you not understand board etiquette? Do you think everyone is too dumb to read a thread already? Was your comment so important that you needed to reproduce it into it's own seperate thread? Guess what? It's not!

Ken, if you think a bunch of spring-held-togther pipes are estheticly goergous, that's your choice. I said that I wasn't talking about performance. If you think it looks good that's fine by me. Different tastes is what sells things. I get pi$$ed when guys like Ralf and ck chime in with their "I'm the judge of what is or is not worthy of this chat room." And it is predominantly a chat room. I saw something that appealed to me over the racetrack exhaust made by Remus and Akra. It's my opinion so deal with it. You and others are not the judges of what is or is not a thing of beauty.

The problem is you piss all over another product to make your comparison. It's just your "style" I suppose - wildly inaccurate descriptions to illustrate your.......points, such as they are. |
That all I was talking about Ken. The fit and finish looks more appealing (to me) and I'm deaf anyhow so the sound doesn't bother me. I've never heard an HPE anyhow. A bunch of exhaust segments held together by springs is probably appealing to the techno in you. SmileWavy

dont post an opinion piece with "Best" in the title and expect not to be rebutted. SmileWavy

STELLAR... keep up the good work... YAWN... |
You know, the more I see the different exhausts on the R1200S the more I really like the look of the all titanium Remus. The single can with the oval exit and the cool graphite color of the heated titanium has finalyl grown on me.

Nice looking for sure. It looks like changing the oil filter will be a major PITA.
