oil filters for R1100S
I'm not sure if this is the right section for this question, but I tried a search and it cam back with sorry, no results found. So, my question is what other oil filters are available for an 04 R1100S. Like other bikes I assume there are perfectly safe and efficient filter available form local auto parts, I just don't know what they are.
Any help appreciated. Scott |

BMW OEM (off course)
Mahle OC91 (hard to find) Mobil 1 m102 Bosch 3330 The Mahle is very similar to the OEM unit. The other parts are not looking like they have the same pressure valves etc. Might have no impact, but I prefer to stick with the BMW ones now that I could witness myself that they are indeed different than car filters. In my order of preference:
purolator PL10241 bosch 3330 fram PH 6063 There is a lot of info regarding oilfilters for motorcycles, however I must admit to losing the relevant link. there is also the internet bmw riders Internet BMW Riders - Substitutes for BMW Parts I don't know if this has been updated in a while, but you could also consult an interchange catalog. Just DON'T start talking about oil.

I recommend getting the cheapest possible filter, and investing the savings in rope belts.
