The best thing is that they work oh so very well! An added benefit in addition to being able to go faster for a given corner is the reduction in fatigue from being beaten up. I'd swear these shocks have allowed me to do a couple more hours riding in a day if needed with out being overly concerned about being too fatigued to ride safely.

Ain't it great to have a quality suspension man.

It's a good idea to take a photo of the spring nums before you mount them. You'll want to know them somewhere down the road.

Did Roger do anything special or did he just freshen them up for the install?

The stock Ohlins come with an aluminum L-bracket for mounting preload adjuster. Don't use it. They break. Instead, go to Home Depot and find an L-bracket of similar size made from mild steel. Use the supplied bracket as a template to drill holes and fillet and chamfer the corners. Rattlecan matte black, and you're good to go.

He replaced the front it was the incorrect size (compared to the rear). The rebuild was more expensive than I'd hoped, but I still feel good because he's a forum moderator and it's good to help our brothers out ( plus he was probably cheaper than others and he did it all and shipped them on faith that I would pay him)

Ohlins, NA is aware of the bracket problem and sell a beefed up one. I have one in Tryon that I'd give you; but, I'm down south right now.

I run Howard Gap Road and Skyuka Mountain Road every time I'm up there. My place just off US176 is up for sale. Send me your name and address if you're interested before I list with a real estate company.
