Lambda thread size

Does anyone know the thread size of the Lambda sensor? Since My combo of performance goodies works best with my sensor disconnected, I'm thinking of unscrewing it and putting in a plug to clean things up a little.
Thanks,

Jim

If memory serves, it's the same as the sparking plugs.

jeff
what size is that, then?

I took th e 02 sensor to the local auto parts store and found a spark plug for a farm tractor which was the same thread. You can brake the ceramic center out of a spark plug then tap and install a plug in it. I'm sure there is easier ways to seal the gutted spark plug JB Weld would probably work.

Compare the sensor threads to some of the older Airhead drain plugs, it may be the same size as either the oil or transmission plug ???

Lambda probe thread is M18x1.5
Don't know what the availability of metric fasteners is like in USA?
Perhaps you could source a blanking plug from a European or Japanese car/bike dealer. Something like a sump plug maybe?
