BMW Roundel signal minder

Hey,..I just installed a signal minder, I love it but I noticed the extra jumper wire that until now I didn't think I needed. I think it will give me brake over ride so the blinker timer stops while I'm at a light ,
Question, What do I hook it up to ?

Not sure what the wire is for (assume brake light wire), but this is a really good article (about 1/4 way down the page) about the signal minder

Found this on the Signal Minder web site. Search "Brake Input Option"?

I like that you can use the turn signals as running lights with adjustable levels or brightness.

Yes, but how far down the road does it cancel? I have seem some stuff about 600m and/or speed. The part of town I live is is old from before cars. I can be at a light with signal on make the turn and 3 blocks later it cancels. Never have seen anything about being able to adjust or alter the logic on timing.

Around here defensive driving is a must and having a signal on when I intend to go straight through could be deadly. Bad enough that many drivers have the seat so far back they can't see over the dash let alone the smell of weed waffling out of the car the bass rattling the entire body work is just an annoyance.

Get a railroad crossing gate mount it to your bike, with flashing red lights for turn signals... That will get their attention.

Mine shuts off after about 100 ft and 15 seconds.

What I would really like is the handle bar guns.

The signal minder is awsome farkle,..turn indicator "on" buttons act as cancel buttons,..blinker will shut off in 8 seconds on they're own. If you hold turn indicator button down, you get rapid fire blinkers for changing lanes. The brake over ride wire was easy to install.
All in all, its a great mod.

I like that it suspends the self-cancelling feature until you release the brake.

Where did you tap into the brake light circuit?

Under front of the seat there is a multi connect plug.
The brake wire is grey w/ yellow stripe, and I ran the pigtail from the fuse box
Over gas tank (under fairing) & tapped into brake wire. The next
Time I change the airfilter I'll run the wire under the tank along
The wiring harness.
