OT - Ramp Recommendations
I am shopping for the best ramp for safely and easily loading a motorcycle into the bed of a pickup truck. Can anyone recommend a particular brand or style ramp that works well?
Thank you, Jeff

style: 2 or 3 section wide hinged aluminum one so you're not performing such a balancing act, with an arched shape, reducing high centering on bikes with limited clearance (not just yours, once you have a ramp, you'll get stuck helping tons of stranded buddies, unless you really keep it on the D/L)

Having spent 3 years earning a living moving motorcycles for the like's of MCN/Bike mag(a story in it'self) Oxlite 65T Tri panel,I've had everything from a trials bike to an 1800 Gold Wing on one,and you can use the 3 parts separately if needs be,and made in the US,but cheap they ain't.

I bought a Ready Ramp that also doubles as a bed extender. I've loaded an RT, my GSA and other smaller bikes as well, I use a small aluminum step stool, single step and place it beside the ramp for easy up to the truck bed.

roger is right.
buy a ramp, hide it in the rafters in the garage. make sure your buddies don't know you have four sets of tie-downs either or you'll instantly be listed as a "roadside assistance friend", which is very similar (in false popularity), to owning a ski boat in the summertime. |
