The TESI is a stunning bike...can anyone explain to me how hub centre steering actually works?

Man shreddr, you and I would never wait in the same line at the whore house, I don't find that bike attractive at all. What is that big goofy casting on the side, looks like something from advanced adapters to hook a Toyota 6 speed to a big block Chevy.

I read that someone figured the tesi would be an investment as opposed the the db8

it'd be fascinating to ride one on those tesi things

it's the same one that is on this bike, only you can see the whole thing. basically its the frame!

I have always liked the look of hub center steering, and the Tesi is probably the best execution of it ever made.

to each his own, see you at the Chicken Ranch

How about a late 50s Ferrari that went for $16.3 Million.

Bimotas are nice, but I find MV Agustas far nicer styling-wise.

Betting money on the collectability of a motorcycle. An old discussion around here. May as well go to the race track, horses that is. Some on this board are betting on the collectability of the r1100s - so far it hasn't worked.

And hindsight on a 1950 era Ferrari and it's eventual selling price is a ridiculous analogy.

It is?

I couldn't see myself spending $16.3M for a car that cost maybe $4k new.

I don't have an issue spending money on motorcycles. Its the money lost due to trading them in or selling them after a couple of years that hurts, but then I tend to keep mine. I still have my 1990 R100 GS that I bought new back then. Cost per year...almost zilch.

Not to hijack an excellent Bimota thread, but was the Ferrari a 250 GTO? Nicest Ferrari ever made IMHO. Saw a grid of them racing at the Goodwood Revival a few years back..awesome! Nick Mason from Pink Floyd has one...License plate 250 GTO. Very cool!

No, but it is the favourite of mine as well...bring a wallet though.

The one that sold was a 1957 250 Testa Rossa. It went for a record US$16,390,000.

Not sure, but I think I'd go with this for that same $50k!

Not my ad, a buddy that knows I long for an HP2S sent it to me...it's from the ADV Rider forum:

FS: The BMW HP2 Trifecta! - PDX area

It's time to pass this special group of bikes on to the next collector. It's the three amigos!

First is the 2006 HP2 Enduro. It comes with the full Remus Hexacone exhaust system, Wilbers rear shock and progressive fork springs, new version OEM side stand bracket, new battery, Wunderlich Marathon windscreen and frame guards, and Mr Ed's Moto custom seat. It has 2,870 miles on it.

Next is the 2008 HP2 MegaMoto. It has the full Remus Hexacone exhaust system, Markus aux fuel tank, Isotta windscreen, CRG mirrors, and Mr Ed's Moto custom seat. It has 2,474 miles on it.

Last is the 2009 HP2 Sport. It has CRG mirrors, and only 951 miles on it.

All bikes are in excellent condition with clean and clear titles. They are all non-ABS models. I have all books and DVDs for the bikes, plus any stock parts I replaced. They are all current on their servicing.

I don't want to sell the bikes separately at this time. I want to see them go to someone who will appreciate them as a team and being one of the few people in the world to own all 3. I'm asking $49,750 obo for the set.

Here's the link if you are an ADV forum member to the ad and the pics of all the bikes: ADVrider
