How many forums?
 

The inquiry about using the FZR as a first bike made me think (nonlinearly, it is true): how many of us peruse/participate/lurk in more than one Pelican Parts Board? Me? I'm up to two, and that is enough, thank you very much, but no way can that be the record. I bet there are people up to four or more.

Add this to the list of other inquiries, like what was your first bike, or how big are you, etc.

O.K. Occassionally I do LURK on the Car Boards here at Pelican . I do not contribute , but find much of interest . I have a thing for German Cars , although not running one at the moment .

There is a couple of other interesting Bike Forums such as the Vintage Bike one in the States and a couple of U.K. Bike sites that are also good value , again I do not contribute .It's good to pursue other interests and hobbies by way of BBoards , because the content is REAL ! . It can be challenged , further elaborated upon ,dismissed , whatever . People can have some fun along the way, personalities and ego's can be exercised all in the interests of sharing info.

Never forget my Dad doing the Bulletin Board thing,from home,way back in the early Seventies when I was still at Secondary School .He was building Competition Bench Rest Rifles, importing technology from the U.S .He would send off a message and the modem would be left on all night , the replies would be on the printer the next morning.Fairly long and involved way to go,but at the time , all there was .

You raise a good point Larry .We sometimes take for granted what a great tool the WWW is for the sharing of information , and I think our particular BB proves you do not have to be a geek .IMO the 'S' ownership thang is all the more enhanced by being able to hang with you guys .
