Talking Picked up my "S" Custom

Finally picked up my bike at the beginning of April from a guy in Virgina who had a 99 with 5,000 miles on it
with a custom red.

Bike is mint. Been riding so much I havent had time to post.

Rode it through West Virginia, Virgina, Blue Ridge Parkway, N.Carolina, MAryland, S.Carolina, Tennesee. Deals Gap Cherihola, foothills, the whole shebang!

Bike gobbles up bumps like no other. Enjoyed schooling jap bikes on deals gap on my first visit.
I posted some pictures of the trip on the website www.photoisland.com

I now have 7,000 miles on it and will have some questions for you guys on aftermarket stuff.

Unfortunately for my RT it will now be collecting dust in the garage.

Marc , great photos , looks like a cool trip . Interested in more of a close up of your bike , coz I cannot believe you'd reckon a S on standard suspension would "gobble up bumps like no other " given your background .

signed Mick , saving every penny toward Suspension upgrade .

Mick its all relative..

When compared to my jap bikes, the teveler gobbles. Yes it could be improved. I am looking into Ohlins but I want to get used to this set up for a little bit b4 spending more $$. Its nice to savor the improvements just a little..

You are right , guess I am forgetting about the great front end stability the telelever adds . Just the more I ride the bike , the more I find myself playing with the given adjustment trying to make her more compliant .

I'm pretty sure there aren't any bumps on the routes mentioned above - at least to my recollection...which may explain why the stock suspension seems OK...

Now, here in Michigan we have some bumps...!

best,

Dave
