Booster Plug for use way above sea level

Hey folks, I have been contemplating one of those Booster Plugs after reading quite a few positive reviews. From what I understand the plug reports a lower than real temperature to the computer that based on this richens the fuel mixture and thus "wala" more power. Now, I ride at 12000 feet and richening the mix with out enough oxygen to combust it is not what you want.

I asked the folks that sell it on ebay and got the following reply which if true leads me to beleive that the temperature adjustment is not only what makes this thing work. Any thoughts or experience from people using this in Denver or Pikes Peek?

The ECU on your R1100S contains an air pressure sensor that will compensate for the low air pressure in the altitude you're riding in. the BoosterPlug will not destroy this correction, so you will have the enrichment from the BoosterPlug module in all altitudes.10.000 ft. have been tested several times in the European Alps by myself and by our Austrian and Swiss customers, and the BoosterPlug will do it's thing in all altitudes.

The ECU chooses a richer map based on temperature, so you should have no problem, all other sensors still function properly.

You should be all set with regard to altitude. One of the major advantages that Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) provides over carburetion is automatic compensation with respect to altitude. Most modern systems sense Manifold Absolute Pressure via a MAP sensor to continually adjust for air density changes.

The previous owner of my R1200S installed a booster plug with sport exhaust while he lived and rode in the mountains of GA. Even though I moved and operate the machine at sea level in FL she runs perfectly.
