2000 ABS, Original owner

Bone stock and still lovin' it after all this time.
I checked out many bikes before I got to the S and it just fit like a glove. Still digging the "see me yellow" too though the past couple of years have brought a few too many *other* bikes in yellow. Copy cats.

Talking What a fabulous thread!...

Download hell for those of us landline-lubbers, but well worth it... Some nice rides out there!... Here is my fave toy: A 1994 R1100RS-A/GS hybrid I'm working on... I crashed the bike a few years back [t0land can vouch for me ], and have slowly rebuilt it... It has a 2-into-1-into-2 Luftmeister exhaust [Lowered 1.5" to clear lowered Paralever torque arm], canisterectomy, solid bar mounts, 3-D adjustible bars, K&N filter, carbon front fender, R1100GS suspension, K1200RS wheels [5.5x17" rear since this pic was taken], sidestand lengthened 4", centerstand removed, bag mounting hardware removed, rear fender removed, Corbin Rumble Seat, GSX-R 750 racing footpegs, LP tinted windscreen, bicycle computer [Stock unit crushed in crash/KRS wheels won't drive speedo]...

Next is Cosmos Black Metallic paint, magnesium valve covers, a 33x11 R850R rear drive gearset, a R1100GS rear drive housing [So I'll be able to use the spoked wheel set, and R1100S 5.5x17 rear wheel with the brake rotor mounted on them], and then some engine mods...

I LOVE this bike!... It is capable of insane lean angles, because it has ALL the ground clearance

Cool And my other "toy"...

A Y2K K1200LT Custom that I've "chopped"... Replaced the topcase with an aluminum rack [-30 lbs], replaced the stock exhaust with a K1200RS Staintune header mated to a Thrush Glasspack [-25 lbs], replaced the chrome footrests with matte silver, replaced the chrome mirrors with black, replaced the chrome windscreen hardware covers with gray, replaced the K1200LT front wheel with a K1200RS wheel [-2.5 pounds/MUCH lighter steering feel], installed a headphone minijack, so I can listen to tunes with my Etymotic insert headphones, K&N filter... I've surprised my share of squids with this bike ...

Looks like Tsukuba...Is that the 'Boxer Trophy' race?

Also, another Pelican Parts member 'peregrine', races an S in the Boxer Trophy.

Here's a friend of mine (YAS) with his new S at Tsukuba....He, like I, raced an RS the season before.

Jeff,

The track is TSUKUBA circuit.
The Boxer Trophy is performed twice per year in this circuit.
It costs about $230 per one race.

MarkC,

Yes, That's right!
The race is Boxer Trophy.
I know YAS and peregrine well. And I'm riding together with them frequently in the circuit.

Yes, I agree Rattus, YAS is a highly skilled rider. He has my respect.

Hiroki,

Do you remember me? This was the Novemer 2000 race.

I think I was the only American rider to participate in the Boxer Trophy.

MarkC
BTW: My S is featured at the top of this page, surrounded by flowers and old buildings in the German, Black Forest.

MarkC,

I regret that I don't remember you.
Because, I participated in the Boxer Trophy for the first time in November 2001.

Pep,
I'm an original San Antonian myself ...... grew up in Shavano Park; outside of Castle Hills .....
Now residing outside of Austin in Dripping Springs >>> 5 minutes from getting lost on the county roads in the hill country.
You gotta love it.
Good to here from you.
Tom
