What is your favorite gear

Not riding gear, transmission gear?

Being the engineering type, I really like how the speedo and tach needles match in 4th.

I know it's a stupid question, but my wife and daughter are in California and I just got back from a 500 mile ride to visit some friends and am now enjoying a Sierra Nevada Torpedo and some Chivas Regal (didn't want to waste the Balvenie 15 chasing it with hoppy IPA)

Third gear hang on tight

My favourite is the first pull!
Once I hit that,
it's only a matter of time before the second,
then the third
and then through to the last
until I am in lovely ole cruise mode!

What ever gear the road dictates, personally if I could ride only roads that required 2nd and 3rd most of the time, I would be happy.

I love the Torpedo too. They made it just like I like my women....cold and bitter!
