Colin Edwards doesn't sound very happy...

with Suter BMW. Apparently , his opinion is that there has been no progress whatever in the development of this bike.

You guys that have more inside info have any insights?

Flatty, did it sound like the old "traction and the beast" issue has made it to MotoGP CRT? He looked pretty pissed off when he got off the bike in the paddock early in the race.

flatbutt 06-30-2012 05:22 AM

I didn't hear anything specific other than but he said"this sucks" .

bradzdotcom 06-30-2012 05:36 AM

he sent this out before the race:
"On a track I love & have had great results....it's "Fill in the blank time" ;)
My bike is . ..... .. ....!!!
Please fill me in ;)))))"

if you fill in the correct number of dots, the answer is: "My bike is a piece of s*it!!!

so yea, i'd say he's not overwhelmed.

Getting an engine to produce 250hp+ frankly is no big deal, the clever stuff comes in the electronics in getting that power on the floor, and hence why the likes of Randy de Punet's Aspar team with not only a big budget but heaps of help from Aprillia do so much better, and why Colins lot are struggling, jeeze the factory BM WSB have enough on their plate looking after themselves never mind helping anyone else.

Guest24 06-30-2012 12:35 PM

Yup Chris it's the traction and the beast at a different level.

bradzdotcom 07-02-2012 07:20 AM

yea i recognized the bottom of his boot.
just thought it was a cool shot.

you could patch that up on the side of the road, couldn't you ralf?

Guest24 07-02-2012 08:57 AM

When they said he'd lost a chunk it appears that it might have been a slight understatement.

Considering how well Cal Crutchlow is doing on the Yamaha Collin must be having some serious second thoughts.

I doubt Edwards had the option to stay with Tech 3. He moved because he had to.

He got the sack.

Guest24 07-03-2012 09:18 AM

Chris, what's the story on Tech 3? They are doing markedly better this year. Are they getting near factory support on both hardware and software. Dovi and "The Crutch" are running like factory teams.

Chris Canning 07-03-2012 11:36 AM

It's pretty simple with the new bikes this year both factory Yamaha and Tech3 started from a level playing field, the factory bikes have since had 3 engine upgrades and two on the frame,Tech3 pay for a package at the begining of the year and thats it,they just have to get the best out of it,the only exception being what went on with brakes as Dovi has been so used to being a factory rider 'I want I want I want' and it came as suprise when he asked for the upgrade and they said no,so he bought e'm himself!!!

Guest24 07-03-2012 12:44 PM

That's interesting information, Chris. Dovi will have to get out his wallet because I doubt his quest to beat out Ben Spies is going to be easy. Even if he does well, I doubt I'd trade Ben for him.

Chris Canning 07-03-2012 01:15 PM

There's that much going on at the mo,you've a better chance of predicting your lottery numbers, there are a lot of twists and turns yet to come, maybe by Mugello(were going) some of it will be revealed.

signit98 07-03-2012 05:12 PM

There will be a surprise or two...

Guest24 07-04-2012 05:23 AM

Chris, what's the fallout from Bautista aka the "Spanish Torpedo" in Assen? The heavy hitters didn't have any nice words to say about him after the race. What a colossal blunder!
