Rear Tire Technical Question

I would like to put a new Dunlop 207RR on the rear of my S but they don't come in a 170/60X17 size, only 180/55X17.

Has anyone put a 180/55X17 on a 5" wheel. Just curious.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

It can be done, but doing so will change the profile (or radius) of the tread area. The tire will not work as well. It will probably steer "weird". I am sure Dunlop will have the right size out soon. There are too many bikes out with 5" wheels not to make that size. Check this month's Sport Rider magazine for a better explanation.
