Valentino Rossi at Yamaha Head Quarters
Early today Valentino visited Yamah HQ. He is destined to be back on a competitive ride. Do you think he will be champion again?
|
no
|
but I'm glad to see him leave Ducati...and they'll be better off without him to.

No doubt!:D
|
I don't think we'll even see him podium again
|
No, he will not be champion again...
Yamaha is paying Lorenzo 11 million dollars... he CLEARLY is the number one in this team. I am not sure Rossi would consider such terms. It is, after all, silly season. |
Sounds like you guys have a microphone in the *****house or something by the way you throw out all this *****. The man hasn't had a ride to show off his talent since he left Japan for Italy and you have him in a rocking chair on the porch. Why don't you wait until he decides what he's going to ride before you roll him off to the bone-yard. He not the average champion.
|
He is the best there has ever been IMO. I agree. Give him a top ride and he wins again. Honda comes to mind.

Champion again? Difficult even when he was in his prime and especially next year when there will still be some very talented and battle hardened opponents on class machinery, Stoner or no Stoner.
I don't believe the pay check drives him anymore - I read on two other websites of a rumor where if he comes back to Yamaha he'd have to front Jeremy Burgess' and the crews pay by himself (or his sponsors would). For sure, on a bike he helped develop into the weapon it is today, he will keep everyone else honest. |
I'm intrigued to see if he will go back to Yamaha, they(Yamaha) want him back because he's a money making machine and the GP team is broke, they don't want him back because he's a great rider, they've already got the best one.
Were does it leave Rossi??,go back to Yamaha for a better bike?,money doesn't matter!! good job, I doubt if he or the crew will get paid apart from outside sponsorship, and all this for what??,if Lorenzo and Pedrosa fall off next year and break their legs he might be in with a chance if it rains as well otherwise not a snowballs chance in hell, and if he stays at Ducati will he/they get it get sorted and now they have signed Hayden it would be the same pair that haven't got the job done in the first place. 'He's a great champion, thats Ex champion!!!,regardless of his fantastic record,I do wonder if he'd even be getting a ride if he didn't sell so many hats and teeshirts,in 2012 he is still exceptional but it's not for his riding and thats the complication!!!!!!! |
+1 Chris - except he has a decent chance; age is against him but he has had only one serious injury and few lesser ones - the big factor is that he has something to prove again.
|
Maybe he'll thank Lorenzo for developing the bike for him. :D

you might want to back up a few steps first.
he wasn't at yamaha. from motomatters.com website: Rectification: Rossi At Yamaha Story A Hoax From A Hacked Twitter Account Sat, 2012-08-04 08:42 The story we published yesterday about Valentino Rossi having been spotted at Yamaha's European headquarters by former racer Niall Mackenzie turns out to have been incorrect. We, along with the French publication Moto Journal and the German-language magazine Speedweek were victims of a hoax. A Frenchman, speaking perfect English, had compromised the Twitter account of Niall Mackenzie and linked his own email address to it, so that the attempts we made to verify the news led to a single, incorrect source. The person having compromised the account later confessed to one of the journalists involved in researching the story that it had been a hoax, and apologized for the inconvenience he had caused. Signs that the story was factually incorrect had come out earlier. Valentino Rossi's manager Davide Brivio posted a denial on his Twitter page late last night, saying "for sure he didn't visit Yamaha HQ - he is on holiday!" |

apart from rumor speculation, as why or how he can be stating for, if one is on Holiday and whom or where he visits?:D |
Rossi may have some wins left in him, but a championship might not be in the cards.
Not that I wouldn't love to see him pull it off! |
As I thought from the Bradzdotcom post. None of you prognosticators have a microphone in Rossi's shathouse. Wait let me run to WalMart and buy some tea so I can read the tea leaves.
Give Rossi a capable scooter and he'll do the rest. No seems to be the only word this crew knows how to type. Try Y-E-S, if you have those keys on your keyboard. |
You might want to read the last line in post #7, 1%er...
As for your last line... you might want to watch him race without having a cup of koolaid before the races.. If he really still was as good as you want him to be, would he be outperformed by his (presumably less skilled) team mate over and over again - on the same bike, no less? That was, one of the reasons why he left Yamaha... My money is on him either forming is own team or him staying with Ducati, for the aforementioned reasons of him still being THE best seller of merchandise. |

My point, he's the highest paid MotoGP rider and the Italians love him and that's where the $$ has been coming from. Should be interesting to see what Audi has in store for Duc. |
