Unless CRS afflicts me yet again, Laguna Seca 1984 was also the last year King Kenny raced Moto GP. I was there to see him in action and also stopped at his former Yammie dealership in San Jose on the way to the track. Hey, I still have a few cool 1984 Moto GP souvenir dealership key fobs with cornering profile given away at that shop.

Both F1 and MGP bike run about same speeds in straight lines. The turns are
all F1 with four big wheels.

Well, Brian... to put that in perspective for you, the current speed/lap record for MotoGP in Jerez is 1.39, set by Dani... for F1 it was set by Heinz_Harald Frenzen in 1991 (the last year they ran there) and it is 1.23... I'd like to think that F1 has progressed a tad.

F1 is at the upper edge of automotive performance. Motorcycles, by definition are limited because only two wheels touch the ground! . . . at an angle, at that!

You tube is the only way I ever see any of this stuff... I've watched f1 years ago, it just didn't LOOK that fast. Probably all the traction and control.

I have never, ever seen someone ride a Honda Sabre like that. Holy skills! Someone recently said that the best $500 performance mod is to buy some track days with instruction. I think I see why.
