Possible Spoiler or what? What will they say now.....?
Things were not as some might have wished..............but to know that a BMW S1000RR set the lap record for the new Moscow Speedway where #11 of the WSBK has just concluded, is enough. WOW......what a bike! More news to come as BMW steps up and takes control.................

As Haslam doesn't seem to be able to get the job done I would have thought Milandri was also worth a mention as well seeing as the bike doesn't ride itself, but non the less both BM and Kawasaki have come on in leaps and bounds, you only have to see how they motored by the Ducati's,and Biaggi falling off hasn't done BM any harm, but looks like you'll have the pom poms out yet

Thanks for the kind note Chris. I always knew that you were pulling hard for BMW but simply did not want to downplay the work and ability of other teams, regardless of country, configuration or rider. BMW simply has the bike. Period........and even in this tipsy economy...........S1000RR units continue to outsell all other super bikes, no matter the maker. BMW is leading the way in safety and predictability while winning major race events as well. How nice, at my age, to have seen this transformation over time.

Well you see thats were I have you at a disadvantage,if a bike is good I don't care who's name is on the tank,I've been as interested watching BMW wasting time and money that didn't need spending developing the RR,just like I'm intrigued to see how Ducati are going to dig themselves out of the hole they've dug with the Panigali.

Johnny Rae is an a-hole and needs to be taken out by someone... the guy has caused more trouble this year that anyone else.
He took out Checa in the first race and was the cause for Biaggi/Haslam being out in the second race. I don't like seeing guys like that... I am surprised that no one has beaten the crap out of him yet... ESPECIALLY the BMW guys. To be fair, it took a lot of guys falling for a BMW to be up front in the first race, but Melandri did VERY well in the second race. I love Sykes, though... he always does it with a smile! It was not too hard to set the lap speed record in Moscow, since there was none in existence and BMW has the fastest motor in the field... all a matter of perspective, I guess. Someone had to do it lol

+1 On Rae, since the last incident with Melandri and Haslam I was not a big fan.
In the end of the day racing is dangerous, but it looks like he doesn't consider his fellow riders and will take a position even if he has to knock them down. Still not a fan of his style.

Heard the Grisini rumor yesterday. Glad to hear Ben will take another shot at GP. But he sure has been snakebit this year.

Spies sure missed a chance to advance his personal career faster than his Honda choice will allow. Oh well, current BMW racers are doing just fine, so what the banana? Wish he had of chosen BMW myself.

Go into a WSB paddock and then do the same with Moto GP,you'll understand the attraction of the latter,as for Spies I've heard allsorts, even him going as a test rider for Suzuki for 12 months and then coming back in 014,the problem being going to WSB with BM or anyone else is a downward step and there'll be no going back.

Think you'll find he's doing both as the WSB and GP dates don't clash for the rest of the year,I'd have thought he'd be the one going to Gresini not Spies but Gresini has been a naughty boy so he might not even have a honda for anyone to ride.

That requires a complete lack of understanding of racing, or a very liberal use of the word advance (and English in general), or some brand myopia -- probably all three. Sure, guys who couldn´t quite make it have done OK (Checa, Biaggi, Melandri) and continued to draw a salary, so a move back to WSBK is certainly not horrible, but an Advance? Cracker please!

My thoughts were and still are different. It is better to be winning (BMW) for the next few years in WSBK in my opinion than to be losing for the next few seasons in GP or track testing, which ever Ben decides upon. For all we know, he did want to go with BMW..........but they nixed the deal. I don't see his move as the best for his career but perhaps it will turn out so. Thanks for the keen observation and polite presentation.

I don't know how the motorcycle racing world gets by without consulting with this group....you guys know more than the guys that own the teams and the guys that race them....wow to be in the same room with you guys.....I feel so complete.... Lol
