Help Diagnosing lights on an 2004 R1100S

Hey folks,

I am trying to determine what the bike is telling me in this video.. I have taken it to Bavarian Cycle Works in SF a couple of times and there is no blink as I ride away. As soon as I park the bike and come back to it. This indication takes place.

What do you think?

Thanks!

It's the ABS error code. You need to re-set it. There is a procedure written here somewhere. It happend to me twice, both times due to a high speed bump, the first one actually bent my front wheel a bit. If it happens again after yopu re-set it, than you must check the ABS sensor and control module.

Just for clarification, when you turn the key on the ABS light flashes fast a couple of times then slows to about 1/sec rate, then as the bike accelerates the light goes out and stays out, no blinking, and doesn't return until the next time you turn the key on, does the same thing and still goes out when riding?

ABS system self-test reporting - Normal.

What he said, with out checking, about 99% sure that is what mine does, checks, energizes the pump, then flashes until you move.

It's telling you to rip out all that abs plumbing & find out you really do have brakes.

I figure it was the normal startup stuff. But the fast blink part is new. Once the bike rolls a bit the abs light goes out. No other indication of a problem.

Thanks
