Curious if anyone has delt w/ this. Got corbin a year ago(great improvement over stock) I don't have the backrest, but have seen dozens of them on Ebay. Will any of these fit on my R1100s corbin? Or is it a model specific sort of thing? I'm pretty sure they're all square peg. Other than leanth of peg , what's the difference?

Difficult to comprehend backrest for rider leaning forward to bars as on R1100S.
Are you contemplating passenger backrest? Doesn't passenger lean forward as well?

I have a Corbin seat with the passenger backrest that I bought from a forum member a couple years ago. The square post on mine is about 5/8th inch wide and about 4 inches long from the backrest pad to the bolt. As long as your seat has the hole and the nut to receive the bolt I'd think any of the various Corbin backrests with right post length should work. The backrest makes my wife feel much more secure when she rides with me.

Corbin Backrest
RT had Corbin and backrest that could be used by rider or passenger when purchased. Very nice for long rides.
Picked up S bike with Corbin but only passenger had insert for backrest. Agree with poster above. S bike leans forward so a backrest serves no purpose for rider. Passenger does have slight forward positioning while backrest while in position leans back but backrest is still liked by wife for the few miles she might ride with me on this bike. Go figure. Security thing I guess. |

I should've been specific ,...it's the passenger backrest I'm talking about.
I wouldn't be using one. It's a security thing for my wife when on the rare occasion we two up around town w/ riding pals. |

I use the one that I initially bought for my ZRX seat. At least for those two models I can say it's interchangeable. My wife likes it for long rides, lets her relax a bit more and she uses it to stretch while underway. I've used it one up as a way to secure a duffle that holds my tent and bag. It's nice to not worry about it sliding back.

That's what I was thinking,..there's a pile of em on eBay, some as low as $65. For that price it's worth a shot.
Thanks for the info guys. |
