way off topic: old tool ID?

seems like there is a reserve of arcane knowledge available here... can anyone tell me what this is? I found it in the shed when I bought my house:

Looks like the tool used to set the teeth on a hand saw.

I think it may be for putting a ring in a hogs nose to prevent it from rooting, we had a set of simple pliers with jaws that looked similar that were were used for that purpose.

its definitely a sawset tool. i actually found a website devoted to collectors of them. its probly worth 10 or 20 bucks. maybe if i had one for left set and one for right set... lol

i guess they go with the 6 foot 2 man saw that is hanging on the side of my shed.

i have hog ring pliers. they are great for attaching floor mats to the carpet under the drivers seat.
