OT: Austrailia here we come!!
Looks like another democracy building opportunity for our military was just found  :D
From the Harold Sun SOUTH Australia is sitting on oil potentially worth more than $20 trillion, independent reports claim - enough to turn Australia into a self-sufficient fuel producer. |
We should invade! They got no guns!!
|
So Richard...you spoilin' for a road trip to OZ? I'm in if you bring the trailer. :D

Don't worry about us yanks, China is a LOT closer:)

Dont worry, the environmentalist nut jobs will probably keep them from drilling unless their government has more common sense than ours does.
|
Fahn Cahn's, keep yer mitts off our petrol. - trade those idiot V-8's for something a bit more sensible. Bloody septics.
Thankfully the Greens aren't in full control yet, but the future is looking bleak. We already had lots of oil, natural gas, iron, coal, lead, zinc, uranium, copper etc etc - being able to afford to buy any of it is quite another thing. Better to stay overseas; what ever we produce will cost less over there. |

I'm thinking 300 million v 22 million makes for a quick win. :D |
Jeez, just realized that with 22 million people in a land covering 2.9 million square miles things are definitely not divided equal. Here in Holland we cram 17 million people into 16 thousand square miles. :( I wanna move.

Balance guys balance...we need green folks because there are others that could care less about the environment or the next generations....keeps things in check. I read we are producing more petroleum than we ever have....even though Obama is going to stop all drilling after he takes all of guns and bibles away, and takes away our wonderful health care system that has been sinking for 20 years....haha
Heck, with regard to gas, I can see it now, fuel drops to a dollar a gallon, and some loser gets a bunch of tats and shaves his head gets a Tap Out shirt and and starts driving a old semi for a car...gets a reality TV spot, half this country will be out buying old ragged out semi`s getting tats and tapout shirts..lol I hope gas says where it is. |
First time I was in the states, I rented a nice Mustang GT5.0. When I felt it was time to fill up, I noticed fuel was 89ct/gallon. I never laughed so hard filling up. Gave the dude $15 and told him to keep the change. Never burned so much rubber and gas in a week, laughing at every fill up.

I think they already know. I hear they have spies here! :D

We have some secret weapons beyond the spiders and snakes we keep staored away for anyone invading us. If you think spiders and snakes can be nasty wait until we unleash our secret weapons. :D
As far as the Greens are concerned, there is a balance and if you look at what has happened in Tasmania with the almost shutting down of forestry for the Greens dream of eco tourism, the knock on effect is that the income is gone with the trickle down effect and people are moving away. Not a lot happening there and one of the reasons I moved away to Melbourne. My sons are lucky as they work for a Telco but the reality is they will move away over time and one is off to Adelaide just in time to get in on the trillions. The company involved is talking to I think Barclays looking for the money to get to it so I hope something happens to boost the economy in Adealaide and South Austrlia in general. Just my worthless opinion. :D |

Always liked Mel. Those that are politically correct are always trying to get him. But, they are always trying to get somebody...
Anyway, sure fuel is a little less expensive here... But try buying Wallaby Steaks! So it all evens out. |
when are you all coming? I'll make sure to be overseas...lol
did 500kms yesterday and the fuel cost was around $50 - still have half a tank though TM - for your interest there is plenty of cheap land in the middle of OZ, you'll need to be working from home and self sufficient though and be a bush survivor type if you go where the people are the cost is much higher. though here you can buy a 1/2 acre on the lake with water and mountain views for $400k and probably have a jetty berth for your boat. go into the mountains or farmland and buy 100,000 hectares for 200k maybe even 100k. town wise the cheapest land in a new development here is 500sqm for $82k, however go to sydney and $500k will get you a little pad in s*itsville if you're lucky might be time to head to SA - great people, food, wine and coastline - there's worse places to be for sure, property values might be on the up and up down there if it works out it could be the new WA |
