2003 R1100s missing or not firing on left cyclinder. What is most likely culprit or best place to start diagnostics?

Do the simple things first. Remove and switch positions of the stick coils, right to left and left to right. See if it's now not firing on the right cylinder. If so, you know you have a bad stick coil.

^^ Mark said it, definitely check the stick coils, I had this problem on my '04. I bought two that way if I need another I got it on hand.

If you want to start simple try putting new plugs in or at least look at them to see if they are fouled.
