Help - r1100s rear brake pad replacement

Hoping someone can enlighten me.
I was(am) replacing the rear brake pads, should be straight forward, was last time, and something called the "locating plate" fell out.

I can't tell how it needs to go back in.
It appears it might just sit above the pads?
Should it clip in in some fashion?
Do the tabs point up or down when installed.

Couldn't get the image load to work, the plate can bees seen in the picture here:

Just did mine last night.

It fits in the rear rectangle in the caliper. I am pretty sure it will only go in one way(upsidedown U). On the rear pad hanger pin remove the clip and knock the pin inward before removing the caliper bolts.Hardest part is keeping the pistons in far enough to
get the caliper back over the rotor.
