WOW, really COTA, do they know what Moto GP racing is??
This has to be the dumbest promotion for a Moto GP race ever. Granted the guy has talent, but to show stunting in traffic, on public roads, down main street, just feeds the misconceptions of the general population.
Maybe the ad agency heard them wrong and thought it was for the CIRCUS of the Americas, and they needed a motorcycle promo And what does it gave to do with racing, besides a motorcycle??? [IMG][/IMG]

You probably haven't been to a MotoGP in a while, Richard....
Racing has become a secondary event there... stun-shows are standard entertainment. To some (many I suppose) it's more like "Let's go and watch the stunt shows... if we have some extra time, we can also watch these other guys ride around the track"!

there must be some hormonal change that causes you to look at youth with disdain when you get old.

I look at youth thinking that being young is wasted on them.

i agree with pffog.
if that piece was a promo for the actual motogp races, than it was "pretty much, fairly stupid", to use the correct cinematic terminology. looks like it's a stunt show and a racer guy broke on to the track towards the end of it. shoulda put that money into an umbrella girl upgrade instead. (you get frequent flyer miles, ya know.)

Remember the car insurance commercial where they have an invisible car? This is TV, not reality. Aviation didn't have major setback due to wingwalkers risking life vand limb. The worst PR motorcycling got was from Marlon Brando's film and the Hollister name is now a trendy logo.. |

The commercial was well done and I enjoyed it. For sure, the general public will shake their heads, some will no doubt use it to confirm their already preconceived and biased opinions that motorcyclists are all hoons. At the end of the day, motorcyclists that like those kind of callisthenics are the target audience. The people that don't like it probably wouldn't consider going no matter how the commercial was made. The rider in that ad is Legend! 2Dear
