Sorry,
But your ad looked more like a scam than a legitimate post.
Especially with the price, the pictures that look like factory press releases, and only two posts on your end. And in the wrong section.

How about half in cash and the other half in a tall stack of beautiful Utah landscapes?

The Throttlemeister bar ends take it from being a factory photo.

Hey guys! Seems to be some question about the authenticity of the photos of my bike? I'm a photographer, the images were taken in my studio to produce a poster. Cheers! -Bill

Well,
The truth is your photos are Tooooo good.

To sell a bike, people want to see reality. Your shots are great but there's nothing to see. Look at prior for sale threads. Here's a good ad to look at:
For Sale HP2 Sport look at postings #110 and better #135

The bike in a garage, any flaws, bike outside, etc. You are doing product shots that are close to what you might find in a brochure. (note: the average or even astute buyer will not differentiate a pedantic difference pointed out on bar ends). People that want to buy need pictures they can study. If your bike is as new and perfect as the HP2 Sport in that ad above, you should be able to lay all accessories out, manuals, etc. just like that one. That's what people want to see.

Since you are also in the discussion forum (not the for sale forum) I can tell you that you might check your price against the NADA book. The NADA prices are pretty close now that time has passed on these bikes. You are getting in striking range of an HP2 Sport (throw in $5,000 more, why not, I would?). So, like me, people tied the two together and it suddenly looks like the odd ebay ad that pops up.

It's all just a trade off.

By the way, the shots in that ad above I believe were taken by a famous professional photographer for his friends bike. He had to seriously constrain himself...

Beautiful bike. The price may give some people pause to make an offer. While shopping for my current r1100s, I did find two bikes very similar to yours. One I just missed out on. It was an '04 with 17,000. It was immaculate and only $8100.
The second not nearly as nice and it too was under the $8000 mark.

Yep. I understand. And thanks for the data on pricing. I have changed the asking price for the bike to be more aligned with the market. -Bill

Now Tony can afford a spare!

What sort of photography do you do? Consider posting in the photo thread...

Bill, I wouldn't budge on that $8500. Unless you're in a hurry to sell it, you'll find a buyer at that price. It's a beautiful bike, looks very well loved, and that alone is worth a few extra bux.

I think I would seriously evaluate any serious offer from $7,000 up. The market has always been very fickle with these bikes and runs hot and cold. So, you can not budge, but you might then wait another year...

Sure they are pretty. But they are only worth what they are worth...
