Call out to any Albertans - ? Borrow Stock clear Windscreen for Inspection

Hi All,

I recently relocated for New Brunswick, CND to Edmonton, Alberta and need a stock clear windscreen for an out-of-province inspection done on my 2004 R1100S. My bike just failed (has a few other issues) but majority of issues are around aftermarket parts. Never had an issue passing inspection yearly when I lived in Nova Scotia.

Alberta requires a one-time inspection when you move to the province. I sold my stock screen years ago and do not want to buy another for this one-time event. Is there anyone in Alberta on this forum that could part with there OEM screen for a few days? It would be greatly appreciated.

I can be reached at:

brent.mcgrath@ualberta.ca

Could you just remove your screen? It's not really a required piece of the machine.
My modified R90s has all kinds of things removed but still passed AB out of prov without issue.

It's funny but in Utah they have light meters that they check the tint on car windows with. If they aren't clear enough, you fail. I had to have my tint removed to pass inspection. Ironic in the desert. Plus all the totally dark windows on the little buzz bombs with Arizona plates flying around here that get away by not buying plates.

I'd be hesitant though because the r1100s windshield was known to crack at the screws when even tightened just a little bit too much.. A mounting fix that was corrected with the r1200s.
