Helmet Lock Install

Stock helmet lock not very useful under seat... so, I ordered up a r1100rt piece and extra 1100s lock cylinder with a set of re-key pieces. Keyed the helmet lock and bags to match ignition. Helmet lock attached with a rubber-covered clamp & machine screw from hardware store.

No more carrying the helmet into the bar...

Flat, I searched around on here, adv, and ibmwr:

Replacing BMW System Case Lock - ADVrider
R11 Bag Lock Modification
rekeying system cases (bmw saddlebags)

Ordered the key tumbler kit and new lock cylinder. Took 20 minutes or so fiddling with tumblers and springs. Did the bags at the same time - after having a separate key for 5 years... now, I like to go to the garage and open the bags, helmet lock, and turn the ignition on - with the same key - just for fun. Should've done this years ago.
