Totaled 1200S

Looks like my 1200S is going to be a total. I went down in the Sierra mountains on my way to WSBK in Montery Ca. I escaped with just a sore shoulder and ribs. Bike is at Fresno BMW. I have a new still in the box a stain tune big bore header system for the S that I didn't have time to put on if somebody is interested. Waiting to hear from the ins co for pay out or buy back info

UGH... sorry to hear that. Glad you are OK, though... saw a Ducati cut in half when we came back from our morning ride over Laureles Grade... not sure what the deal with it's rider was... too many people were stopped there already and Ambulance was just arriving... so we kept going. Hope he was OK.

Crash

Did the same thing to my K 1200 in April in the Texas hill country. Good to still be walking around. It did give me the chance to get back to my boxer roots. Love it! Glad you are OK.

I considered buying it back to part out but I just dont have the room in the garage to tear the thing apart and store the parts while waiting to sell. So it is gone to the insurance company.

Major bummer! Bikes can be replaced (although, R12Ss are a little bit harder to replace than some others). Glad you're relatively OK.

Would be interested in knowing which CA dismantler ends up with machine, as a future potential used parts source.

The Stain Tune header is sold. I have left a message for the adjuster but have not heard back yet. Hopefully he will tell me where the bike is.

I just got a call from the adjuster as to where the 1200S is. It is at CoPart in Fresno CA and the ph number is 509-266-6400 and the stock #27688783. The bike has recent serviced Ohlins, Stain Tune slip on, wonderlich tripple and superbike bars, stock bags that were destroyed but protected the back end from damage. The rest of the bike mechanicaly is excellent with 31K on the motor.

Just to make a correction here. The actual phone number is 559-266-6400. They are not parting out the bike. ( I wanted the seat ). They want to sell the whole thing. Didn't ask how much but that's the scoop.

Sorry for the wrong number. The bike had a Corbin seat on it I still have the stock seat if someone wants to make me an offer on it. I also have some other stock parts that I will get listed in the for sale section including an ABBA bike stand that lifts the bike up from the swing arm mount points so you can remove the rear wheel and shock.
