R1100S speedo/tach options
I'm building a cafe racer using a 2002 R1100S. My vision is to use a bullet style headlight housing with a tachometer/speedometer multi instrument similar to the airhead slash 5 set up. The problem has been finding an electronic analog gauge that is compatible with the S's sending units. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

they are all digital, so they work from a pulse rate, depending on if you have iabs or not.
if you don't have I abs then you need something to excite the wheel sensor to produce the pulses. the tach could use any generic tach that can be adjusted for number of cylinders, and you could do the speedo from a magnetic wheel sensor like the vapor tech etc. easiest to just find some cans for the instruments and use the bmw gauges. I have a spare set of just instruments if you want to swap for your cluster. we have talked on the phone |

Plenty of GPS speedos. Probably get a matching tacho.
