Uh, is this important.?.

So I had a high-side due to loose rocks on a recently tarred and travelled country road, and I am starting to replace the parts damaged as the broken collarbone has let me....
Found this today on the front frame.....

Farther back....

Left side....

Thinking these are steering stops that I hit too hard on the right side... Funny that the aluminum fairing frame looks good and the plastics all line up.

So my knowledgeable friends, is it worth tearing down all the way and replacing this front frame just for the steering stop?

Get these and forget about it.

If you do want to replace the front frame, get these too and prevent it happening again.

Just checked. These are no longer available from the US distributor.

that's never stopped anybody on this board before.
we're a bunch of no-integrity, international smugglers.

bet one of your "friends" over the pond could possibly send you a belated christmas gift, in return for the contribution that you make to his favorite cause.

it happens.

ps: paypal in german is spelled and pronounced "paypal".
same in belguim, england, holland, austria, etc.
weird, eh?

Follow-up...

I have reached out to Morton's BMW as a Platinum Wunderlich dealer for ordering of this part... They are contacting the "head guy" in the USA to find out what can be done to obtain these stops...
I informed him that others may be interested as well if we have to do a special order for me get them.

If not, well.... I have friends in both high and low places.....

Sounds like the US of A distributor needs to do a better job of checking to see what is available?
